We fully support Leo’s Angels in their mission to drive forward the development of much needed tech-based solutions for epilepsy care. We understand the need for a data-driven approach allowing access to clinicians, families and healthcare systems to accurate patient data to improve care outcomes. As a national charity, we aim to provide information and support to the more than 100,000 children and young people living with epilepsy in the UK. We are grateful for the fantastic fundraising support Leo’s family have provided over the years to support our work. Leo himself was a much-loved student at our specialist school, St Piers, and we are proud to see his memory honoured in such a lasting way, working to improve the lives of other young people living with epilepsy
The partnership between Leo’s Angels and Seizure Tracker will improve access to life saving resources for families struggling with seizure management. Funding raised through Leo’s Angels effort will help transform the way we communicate about epilepsy on a global scale. Building on the existing Seizure Tracker resources, we will work in a concerted effort to define and respond to gaps in seizure management with a focus of using technology to save lives.
Dentaltech Group is beyond proud to sponsor Leo’s Angels, a cause that holds deep meaning and purpose. Leo, the beloved son of Emma and Ben, youngest brother to Bonnie and Daniel, tragically passed away just two weeks after his 11th birthday due to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Leo was full of life—he adored Harry Potter and was known for giving the very best hugs. His passing might have been prevented if the right technology to track his symptoms and medication had been available. In his memory, Emma has created Leo’s Angels to raise vital funds and awareness for innovative technologies that can help protect other children and adults living with epilepsy. We are honoured to support this mission and stand with Emma in the hope of creating a safer future for families affected by epilepsy
At Tiny Medical Apps we develop digital tools that empower young people to take control of their health, including the Digital Health Passport – a clinically validated app co-designed with young people, healthcare professionals and community partners. Originally developed to support young people with asthma, we are now expanding its use to other long-term conditions, including epilepsy, where self-management and personalised support can make a significant difference. With a strong focus on inclusion, accessibility and real-world impact, we’re excited to be in early conversations with Emma and the Leo’s Angels team, exploring how we can work together to make a meaningful difference in memory of Leo.
